STUNNING PRIVATE COLLECTION INCLUDES TOP FASHION ITEMS AND ACCESSORIES, 400 PAIRS OF DESIGNER SHOES AND 200 HANDBAGS
An important collection of thousands of designer fashion items and accessories will set the style agenda at Bonhams one-off Jewellery and Designer Fashion Sale in Oxford on 4th December 2012. The items which are expected to fetch over £100,000 form the remaining part of an exquisite collection, which included the iconic Hermès handbags sold by Bonhams in Knightsbridge earlier this year, making over £500,000.
For those keen to make a statement, the sale on 4th December will be a perfect opportunity to add the key item to any fashion wardrobe. Highlights include 400 pairs of designer shoes; 200 designer handbags; a large group of Louis Vuitton luggage items; almost a thousand items of ladies designer clothing; and a large group of designer accessories, including sunglasses, belts, perfume and Hermès silk scarves. The items are in excellent condition, at the cutting-edge of fashion, most dating from the last five years. Many have never been worn and retain their original tags, dust bags and boxes.
The collection of shoes include Dior, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Stella McCartney, Yves Saint Laurent and many others, all still in their boxes. The vast majority are chic stilettos and glamorous platforms in a never-ending array of colours and designs, including many identical pairs in different colour-schemes.
The handbags range from glamorous glittered evening bags by Dolce & Gabbana, to stylish but practical Louis Vuitton tote bags, as well as a multitude of the classic Chanel 2.55s in every colour of the rainbow, including quilted tweed examples. Other bags include Ralph Lauren, Dior, Fendi, Gucci, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent.
The garments include approximately sixty Chanel tweed suits of various styles, numerous Chanel ‘Little Black Dresses’, coats and jackets, daywear, jeans, cashmere jumpers, smart business suits, cocktail dresses, and a fabulous collection of ball and prom dresses, many of which have featured on the catwalk in recent years. One of the most prominently featured and obviously favoured designers is Ralph Lauren, but others include Hervé Léger, Valentino, Prada, Dior and Armani.
Claire Browne, Head of Bonhams Textiles department commented “This fashion collection is truly extraordinary, both in terms of scale and quality. Many of the items have never been worn or used, which makes them even more sought-after. The collector has been thrilled by the experience of buying such stunning items, many of which were bought from stores in Bond Street. It is an incredible opportunity for those interested in fashion to get the ultimate piece for their collection, and it has been exciting to put the sale together. We are expecting a great deal of interest from people across the world.”
