Galerie Peter Kilchmann is pleased to announce its participation in the first edition of Frieze Art Fair New York. You can find them situated at Booth No. A24. The presentation at the fair is concentrated on works of abstraction. Artworks by Michael Bauer (Untitled, 2012, Oil on canvas, 160×140 cm), Fabian Marti (And When We Mad, 2011, Wall installation of 12 glazed ceramics, 200×150 cm) and Bernd Ribbeck (Untitled, 2012, acrylic and pigment marker on MDF, 70×70 cm) interact on very direct level. Blind Date by Jorge Macchi is a humorous gesture towards the circle form, showing two nail circles touching each other at the edge. Two hammers dangle inside the circles, apparently the authors of this wall-filing production (2005, wall installation, 500×250 cm). Tercerunquinto are present with their Projecto para MUCA Roma (2004), a process-orientated work, in which the institutional space of the MUCA Roma was used as a warehouse for salesmen for the whole duration of the exhibition. The functional character of the museum as aestheticized institution was temporary alienated. Figurative works on canvas by Francis Alÿs, Adrian Paci and Raffi Kalenderian punctuate the presentation of abstract works, and Javier Téllez is present with two of his signature sculptures.
