In the 1970s, Jean Machine was the definitive denim store on the Kings Road in London. Chloe Lonsdale, daughter of the original founder Tony, has relaunched Jean Machine as a menswear brand after experiencing huge success with MiH Jeans, the cult women’s jeans brand. The first collection offers straightforward denim alongside classic cotton shirts, trousers and a denim jacket. To celebrate the re-launch, Jean Machine is presenting an exclusive exhibition with artist Greg Eason, entitled ‘Focus’.

Eason’s intricate drawings demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail that fits seamlessly with Jean Machine’s aesthetic. This collection of work has been curated especially for Jean Machine.

‘Focus’ is a one night only event to be held in two cities over two consecutive weeks. The first exhibition will be held in New York and the second in London. The New York launch will take place at Recess Gallery on the 21st March. Located in the heart of Soho, Recess’ street level gallery and shopfront exterior provide the ideal public audience for the launch of Jean Machine and Greg Eason’s illustrations.

The London launch will take place at the Protein Gallery on the 26th March. A space on the edge of East London’s Shoreditch, it is host to pop up stores and galleries alike. Its white walls, floor and ceiling will act as the simple back drop to allow the detail of the Jean Machine products and Greg Eason’s drawings to be the focus of the event.
