The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas is a world renowned venue, being home to the finest casinos, restaurants and nightlife facilities on the strip. From February onwards, the Painting Women: Works from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston rolls into Bellagio’s Fine Gallery of Art, bringing with it some of the most prestigious works from the greatest female artists of all time.
The exhibition will host a fantastic array of portraits and paintings showing the female artist’s confidence in their craft, as well as offering the works of women painters, such as Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keeffe and Berthe Morisot. The series will be introduced through a portrait by the French artisit Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun, who acts a great role model and inspiration for the majority of artists involved in the exhibition. The works are set out in chronological order, with the earliest coming from 1870, highlight the change in artist impressions, from traditional pieces to the much more modern and abstract artwork which came to prominence in the 20th century.
Also taking place through 2014 at the Bellagio is the Art and Wine Event. The evenings give visitors to view the finest artwork was indulging in the most flavoursome wines. Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA) Director Tarissa Tiberti and Jason Smith, Director of Wine and Master Sommelier run the tour and make the attraction a must-visit.
