Ingleby Gallery is delighted to announce its 16th billboard commission as part of its ongoing public art project, Billboard for Edinburgh. Anya Gallaccio is the latest artist to make a work for the site creating an alternative landscape by taking a microscopic image of dirt from Edinburgh’s famous natural landmark, Arthur’s Seat.
Gallaccio’s billboard will be on display until 31 July. The artist has also realised the image as a two-colour limited edition screenprint. Full details of the print can be found below.
Gallaccio has recently unveiled the temporary installation Red on Green at Jupiter Artland. A large-scale permanent commission for the scultpure park will be revealed on 21 June 2012.
