İnci Özbaş is a Istanbul-based artist. She graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University with a first class degree in 2001. Inci is inspired by the ideologies of suprematism and minimalism, incorporating these elements into photographs of sculptural light-paintings projected onto Duchampian readymades. Inci endeavours to abstract photography back to its technical origins: meditations on light. With this use of light Inci reconnoitres geometric forms through a speculative abstraction, evoking sensory response through studies on colour psychology.
